Unpuzzle gives you a different kind of jigsaw puzzle to solve. Instead of putting pieces together to make a picture, you take them apart until nothing remains on the board.
Every level begins with a group of connected white puzzle pieces. Your task is to remove them one by one. Some pieces slide away without trouble. Others cannot move because neighboring pieces block their path.
The idea sounds simple, but the puzzles become harder as new types of pieces appear.
Take the Puzzle Apart
Look at the arrangement of pieces before making your first move. You need to find one that can slide away from the others.
Click and drag a piece with your mouse to remove it. The piece must have a clear path in the direction you want to move.
You cannot always start with the piece you prefer. Sometimes another square blocks its exit. Remove the surrounding pieces first to create enough room.
Once you clear the entire board, Unpuzzle gives you another arrangement to solve.
Discover New Types of Pieces
The early levels introduce the basic rules without making the board too crowded. Later puzzles add squares with special markings and different movement rules.
Some pieces have arrows that control the direction they can move. Other pieces display numbers that affect when you can remove them.
Rotating pieces also appear in the game. These add another challenge because you need to understand how their movement changes the puzzle.
You can use the small button at the top of the screen to reveal hidden buttons.
The new pieces make it important to inspect the board instead of dragging squares without a plan.
Work from the Outside
A good way to approach Unpuzzle is to examine the outer pieces first. Those squares often have more space to move away from the connected group.
Check which direction each piece can travel. Look for anything blocking its path.
After removing one square, examine the remaining pieces again. A move that looks impossible at first may become available once the neighboring square disappears.
Do not rush through the board. A few seconds of careful observation can help you find the right starting point.
Enjoy a Puzzle Without a Countdown
Unpuzzle focuses on thinking rather than quick reactions. You don’t need to compete against another player or hurry to beat a timer.
The simple design keeps your attention on the puzzle. There are no complicated scenes to explore or characters to control.
The original game offers 40 levels with increasingly tricky arrangements. Each completed board introduces another challenge and gives you a chance to use what you have learned.
Unpuzzle makes even a small group of white squares interesting. The satisfaction comes from finding the correct order and watching the pieces disappear until the board becomes completely empty.
