Turn the World to Find a Way Out

Climbo is a puzzle platform game where gravity does not work in the usual way. You control a small green creature and guide it through levels filled with platforms, walls, spikes, gaps, moving objects, and glowing collectibles.

The main goal in Climbo is to reach the exit of each stage. Getting there often requires more than walking toward a door. The world can rotate around the character. A wall can become the new floor after the direction changes. This gives you new paths and makes you look at each level from a different angle.

The controls stay simple. You can use the arrow keys or the W, A, S, and D keys to move. Pressing R restarts the current level when you get stuck or fall into danger.

Gravity Changes the Puzzle

The rotating world creates most of Climbo’s challenge. Moving onto another surface can change the direction of the whole stage. Platforms that sit above you may suddenly move to the side. A wall that blocks your path may become useful ground.

This means you need to study the level before making every move. A route that looks safe at first can lead directly toward spikes after the screen changes direction.

Climbo introduces more difficult layouts as you continue. Some areas contain moving boxes. These objects can slide when the world rotates. You need to watch their movement because a box can block a route or crush the character.

Collect the Glowing Lights

Climbo also places small glowing objects around its levels. Collecting them increases your score. You do not always need every collectible to reach the exit, so players can choose between taking the safer route and searching for more.

The collectibles also connect with the game’s sound. Picking them up creates musical notes. Gathering several close together can form a short tune. This gives collecting them another purpose beyond adding points.

Some glowing objects sit near dangerous areas. Reaching them may require careful jumps or a clever use of gravity.

Avoid Spikes and Dangerous Falls

Spikes are one of the main hazards in Climbo. Touching them ends the attempt and sends you back to try the stage again. Open gaps can cause the same problem.

Later levels combine these hazards with rotating platforms and moving boxes. Good timing becomes more important as the layouts grow harder.

Climbo keeps its idea easy to understand while finding many ways to use it. You move, rotate your view of the level, collect glowing lights, avoid traps, and search for the exit. The unusual gravity system turns even a small room into a puzzle that may look completely different after only a few steps.
