Abodo’s Big Adventure

A Wild Rescue Mission Through an 8-Bit World
Abobo’s Big Adventure is an action game where you control Abobo, the powerful fighter known from the Double Dragon series. His son Aboboy gets kidnapped, so Abobo sets out to rescue him.
The adventure takes place across a collection of stages inspired by classic 8-bit games. Each section changes the way you play. One level may focus on street fighting. The next can send Abobo swimming underwater or exploring an area from above.
This constant change gives Abobo’s Big Adventure plenty of variety. You cannot rely on one set of moves for the whole journey. Each new area introduces another style of action and a fresh group of enemies.
Punch, Kick, and Fill the Rage Meter
The arrow keys control Abobo’s movement. The A and S keys handle the main actions. Their purpose can change depending on the current stage.
During the opening fighting section, Abobo can punch and kick enemies. Landing attacks fills his Rage Meter. Taking damage lowers it.
Once the meter reaches its maximum level, pressing A and S together activates a powerful Rage Move. This attack can deal heavy damage to enemies on the screen. Saving it for a difficult fight can help when several opponents appear at once.
Every Stage Plays Differently
Abobo’s Big Adventure does not stay a simple fighting game. Later sections borrow ideas from platform games, underwater adventures, wrestling matches, top-down exploration, shooting games, and boxing.
The controls adjust to match each style. An action button that throws a punch in one area may fire a weapon or perform another move somewhere else.
Boss battles also appear throughout the journey. These enemies often require more attention than the regular opponents. Learning their attacks and choosing the right moment to strike becomes important.
Explore a World Full of Retro Game References
Much of the fun in Abobo’s Big Adventure comes from its huge collection of references to classic games. Familiar-looking characters, enemies, locations, and gameplay ideas appear throughout the adventure.
The game does not simply place them in the background. Many of these references become part of the actual challenges. Abobo may fight familiar enemies in one section and then take on the role normally filled by another type of game hero in the next.
Keep Fighting Until Aboboy Is Safe
Progress saves automatically, and unlocked stages can be selected from the main menu. This makes it easier to return to the adventure without starting everything again.
Abobo’s Big Adventure combines fighting, jumping, shooting, exploration, wrestling, and boss battles in one unusual journey. The simple controls make each section easy to begin, while the changing gameplay keeps players learning new tricks as Abobo pushes forward to rescue Aboboy.
