Stop the Bus – A Card Game

About Stop the Bus Game
Stop the Bus is a card game where the player tries to build the best three-card hand. The goal is to get as close as possible to 31 points in one suit. The player draws a card, discards a card, and tries to improve the hand before the round ends.
The rules are simple once the player understands the scoring. Aces count as 11 points. Kings, queens, and jacks count as 10 points. Number cards use their own value. The strongest hand usually comes from cards of the same suit. Three of a kind can also score well, so the player has more than one way to build a strong hand.
Stop the Bus gets its name from the moment a player feels ready to end the round. When a player stops the bus, the other players get one last chance to improve their cards. After that, the hands are checked. The player with the lowest score loses one bus token. Losing all tokens removes the player from the game.
The game works well because every turn needs a small choice. The player can take a card from the deck or from the waste pile. A visible card may help right away. A hidden card from the deck may bring a better surprise. The player then has to discard one card and hope the hand improves.
Stop the Bus suits players who like simple card games with light strategy. It is easy to learn, but it still asks the player to think carefully about suits, card values, and the right moment to stop the bus.
