You can change team colors, team names, player names, and formations. You can also train players, improve their equipment, and transfer players between teams.

The career side gives you a larger goal as well. You can play through four divisions and work toward becoming the world champion. Player development becomes useful as opponents get harder, so building a stronger team can help you progress.
